"Snookie" or "Snooki" seems to be the question. To set the record straight it was "Snookie" on all the prerelease info and then posted as "Snooki"
when the show aired.

A native of Poughkeepsie, NY, Nicole a.k.a “Snookie” or "Snooki" comes froma close-knit Italian family. Fun, outgoing, spontaneous, loving and loud are
just a few words that describe this Veterinary Tech major whose hobbies
include cheerleading, shopping, tanning, working out and of course always
looking good. She has made an appearance on MTV’s Is She Really Going Out With Him? and is now one of the stars of MTV’s new reality show JerseyShore.

The show, which follows eight young Italian adults during their summer stay
at a Jersey Shore, has been the center of controversy for many Italian
Americans and has made it to CNN.com before the show even hit the airwaves.
